This place was so much fun! After a long hard day of driving- we needed a fun place to start the weekend off right and PEG LEG was the place to be. They had great live music, Food was incredible, Waiter was exceptional, atmosphere was fun, lively and entertaining, drinks were spot on
Love love love Peg Leg Pete's!!!!! Anytime I'm in Pensacola I eat here. Always busy so there will be some wait time involved. We brought our fish from a charter fishing trip and they cooked it for our boys. I had the crab legs and my husband had a fish dinner as well. The vibe is always busy but cool. They had live music the night we went down below. Service was on point despite how busy it was. I'll always be back!
Service was great and food was good. The gumbo was nasty but the oyster Rockefeller was amazing and made up for it.
Peg legs is one of our favorite local restaurants and they have the best Cajun parm oysters.
Peg leg Pete's is alway a great experience for seafood and cold beer. We stop every time we are in Pensacola and even more than once on occasions. Great atmosphere and food.
Enjoyed our dinner overall. The shrimp weren't the best quality but really enjoyed the lobster and crab legs.
Delicious as always. Outstanding staff!. We come here every time we're at the beach, usually more than once!
I was searching for a good spot in Pensacola for lobster after picking my daughter up from the airport. After narrowing it down I settled on one restaurant with exemplary reviews, specifically: Yelp: 4.2 stars (based on 2,607 reviews) TripAdvisor: 4.5 stars (based on 4,490 reviews & has been recognized as a "Travellers' Choice") Google: 4.5 stars (based on thousands & thousands of reviews) so off we went. Peg Leg Pete's is an iconic seafood restaurant located in Pensacola Beach, FL. Established in 1991, this popular eatery has become a beloved fixture in the community, with fresh seafood, live music, and a cool atmosphere that keeps folks coming back for more. The restaurant's atmosphere is casual and laid-back, with a serious beach vibe that Pensacola Beach is known for. The dining room features a stage where live musicians perform, adding to the energetic ambiance. They also have outdoor covered seating, so you can enjoy your meal while taking in the coastal scenery. Peg Leg Pete's cuisine focuses on fresh, locally sourced seafood, including oysters, shrimp, and fish and Maine lobster. Some of their most popular dishes include: * Oysters on the Half Shell: Freshly shucked oysters served with cocktail sauce, horseradish, and lemon * Shrimp Po' Boy: A classic New Orleans-style sandwich with fried shrimp, lettuce, tomato, and a spicy remoulade sauce on French bread * Grouper Sandwich: A fillet of grilled or fried grouper served on a bun with lettuce, tomato, and tartar sauce We had a :30 minute wait in the bar, it's always busy here, but you can add yourself to the wait-list online. My daughter picked out her lobster from the tank, by the bar, while we waited. Once seated our server Sarah did a great job and took good care of us. We got the party started with grouper bites, and they were fresh, hot and cooked perfectly. For entrees my daughter got her steamed lobster with a couple potatoes and cobbette with drawn butter. She thoroughly enjoyed every bite my sweetheart large sea scallops with rice, snap peas and a stuffed shrimp side which she loved. I went with the fried grouper, which was a beautiful fresh and generous piece of fish with steak fries and very tasty slaw. We all totally enjoyed everything but I wasn't done yet :-) I shared a piece of creme Brulee cheesecake that was also quite good and left with a big smile on my face :-) Bottom line: Peg Leg Pete's is a must-visit destination for seafood lovers in Pensacola Beach. With its fresh cuisine, lively atmosphere, and friendly service, this local institution has earned its reputation as a favorite dining spot among both locals and tourists alike. Peg Leg Pete's is open daily, with varying hours depending on the day of the week. They're typically open from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM or 10:30 PM. Great place for kids. They have a playground for them while you can watch your kids and enjoy your drinks. The seafood is fresh. The boiled/steamed items are spot on. It's a cool local/touristy type of place that is a staple for visitors. Be aware: LONG WAITS AT PEAK TIMES*****
This is the only place we had to wait for a table in Pensacola, so we found the place to be, great to be able to put your name on the list from the room. We had to wait another 20 min once we got there. Our waitress Kathi was lovely. The atmosphere was fun and lively. Our food was delicious. I had the mixed grill, and my husband had the mahi mahi. My only wish was that they had more non- alcoholic options (beers or mocktails)
